This week: Jim Cascino serves up an all Jamaican, 100% authentic, classic Ska mix.

For one reason or another, I always find myself listening to a lot more ska during the summertime than any other season. Seeing as we’re smack dab in the middle of summer here in the States, that’s a good enough reason to put a spotlight on the genre for the next couple episodes! Next month, we’ll highlight some of the outstanding contemporary ska that’s out there; but for this month, it’s 100% classics. Included within are some of my absolute favorite 1960s ska tunes, that perfectly encapsulate the sound of a young, newly independent Jamaica! ~Jim
